Ja gehören die Nüsse denn jetzt zu den Dickmachern Nr. 1 oder
unterstützen sie wirklich meine Diät? Ein Blick „in die Nuss“ gibt Klarheit.
Beim Stichwort Erdnüsse kommt doch recht schnell das Bild hoch von der
erdnussfutternden, Couch-Patatoe, die ständig darüber klagt, zu dick zu
sein… Schauen wir mal, was dahinter steckt.
Tatsächlich haben Nüsse einen sehr hohen Fettgehalt und somit viele
Kalorien. Das deutet also darauf hin, dass sie höchstens im Masse genossen
gesund sein können. Sind sie auch. Interessanterweise unterstützen sie z.B.
Menschen, die abnehmen wollen. Die Ballaststoffe, Eiweisse und Fette, die
in der Nuss stecken haben eine langanhaltende sättigende Wirkung, so dass
das Hungergefühl verzögert wird. In einer Studie, in der die Teilnehmenden
angehalten wurden, täglich zu ihrer gewohnten Ernährung Mandeln zu
essen, zeigte sich, dass sie nach dem Verzehr von Mandeln weniger Appetit
verspürten und sich ihre Essgewohnheiten so veränderten. Bei
Hungergefühlen zwischendurch ist die Mandel also ein wunderbarer Snack!
Bei einigen Nüssen (z.B. Pistazien) nimmt der Körper nicht das ganze Fett
auf. Es bleibt zwar das Sättigungsgefühl, aber ein Teil des Fettes wird
unverbraucht wieder ausgeschieden.
Erdnüsse z.B. helfen bei regelmässigem Verzehr – oder eher Genuss –
schlank zu bleiben. Forscher haben aus verschiedenen Studien
herausgefunden, dass der Energiebedarf bei der Verdauung von Erdnüssen
erhöht wird. So kommen zwar die gesunden Eigenschaften dem Körper zu
gute, ein Grossteil der Kalorien aber wird direkt bei der Verdauung
verbraucht.
Nebst dem hohen gesunden Fettanteil stecken in allen Nüssen viele
wunderbare Eigenschaften wie Minealstoffe und Spurenelemente (wie
Eisen, Magnesium, Selen, Kalzim, Kupfer, Zink und andere), Vitamin A, E
und B, Ballaststoffe, Protein und Antioxidantien. Für einen gesunden,
schlanken Körper brauchen wir eine gesunde Nahrung. Da bieten sich
Nüsse wunderbar an.
Wie bei allen Lebensmitteln ist auch hier die Frage des Masses
entscheidend. Empfohlen ist eine Handvoll Nüsse pro Tag zu geniessen.
Einerseits wegen dem Kaloriengehalt und andererseits, weil diese Menge
ausreicht, um von den vielen gesundheitlichen Vorteilen zu profitieren!
